Get to know Kat a little better and how she will help you transform your visual brand to new expectations.
Katherine (Kat) is an experienced creative designer who has been working within the creative industries since the early 2000s. She has spent most of her working-life living in Queensland, on the Sunshine Coast and the vibrant city of Brisbane, until a move to the wilds of Tasmania in 2017. Kat worked in Launceston for a year or so and then make the big move to the bustling hub of Hobart, where she now calls home and inspiration is abundant.
Kat’s first job as a photographer helped form solid foundations in her graphic design career. After studying a Bachelor of Computer-based Art and Design, Kat has worked in the not-for-profit, tourism and retail industries, local and state government, and as a freelancer working with a variety of clients Australia-wide.
Specialising in branding, Kat builds brands from the ground-up. She gives a fresh, modern identity for her clients with a strategic approach to ensure business goals are always met. Kat also has expertise in event and festival branding, and development of integrated social awareness campaigns. Additionally, Kat brings to the table many years experience in publication design, interpretive and exhibition design, corporate design, not-for-profit work, digital content creation for social media (including scheduling and planning), producing and maintaining WordPress websites, including copy writing. Not to mention her ability to capture those special moments with her photography prowess.
Kat’s skills are flexible, diverse and forward thinking. She’s also a pretty keen baker and makes some of the best brownies going around!
